J. Alex Boone
Alex joined Royer Caramanis PLC in July 2025 and works in the areas of civil litigation and business law. Alex has represented clients in a wide variety of matters, including commercial disputes, employment litigation, and property/zoning cases.
In his prior position, Alex worked as an attorney with a defense litigation firm in Charleston, SC, focusing on medical malpractice defense and trucking defense. Prior to law school, Alex worked for the Commonwealth’s Attorney in Roanoke County for two years, and during law school he had experience conducting criminal trials in York County.
Alex is a native of Botetourt County. He relocated to Charlottesville with his fiancée, McKay, a physician with UVA Health, and their eight-year-old Goldendoodle, River. Alex is an avid UVA athletics fan, plays golf, and loves anything in the woods or on a boat.
